Miniaturized single-fiber-based needle probe for combined imaging and sensing in deep tissue

Jiawen Li received her BS degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2010, and her PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of California Irvine in 2015. She is currently a Research Fellow at University of Western Australia. She has pioneered in developing and applying the integrated IVUS-OCT technology for clinical practices. During her PhD journey, she published 11 papers in high-impact journals and gave more than 16 talks at prestigious international conferences. In 2015, she won the best poster award at Optics in Cardiology conference. Her research interests include optical coherence tomography, needle probe, multimodality imaging, intravascular imaging, and ultra-thin endoscopes.
