    Eric L. Buckland

    Eric L. Buckland, Director, President and Chief Executive Officer at Bioptigen has lead technology development, strategic planning, and commercial operations at major global optics companies since 1985. Dr. Buckland was a key executive in Corning Incorporated's Photonics Technologies Division from 1999-2003, and was instrumental in the development of a new division formed to commercialize optical switching technologies for the all-optical network. Dr. Buckland earned his B.S summa cum laude and M.S in physics from North Carolina State University. He earned a Ph.D. in optics from the University of Rochester. He has been awarded 6 patents and has written more than 30 publications and conference presentations.
