    Dorin Demian

    Dorin Demian is Lecturer at the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (UAVA) Romania since 1993, and a member of the 3OM Optomechatronics Group ( http://3om-group-optomechatronics.ro/ ). He has graduated in 1983 in Mechanical Engineering and received his Ph.D. in 2003 – both from the Polytechnics University of Timisoara. Since 2011 he is a Visiting Research Associateat the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK . He published 18 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has 3 Romanian patent applications pending. Dr. Demian has performed extensive Mechatronic design for Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, etc. He is a member of The General Association of Engineers of Romania and of SPIE. His research interests include Mechanical Engineering, CAD, and Mechatronics.
