Optovue was founded in 2003 by ophthalmic industry veterans, including developers of the time-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) devices sold by Carl Zeiss Meditec (Humphrey), such as Stratus™ and Visante™. Optovue is backed by experienced technology and healthcare venture capital firms and private investors.
