About Jonathan P. Williamson
Dr Jonathan Williamson MBBS graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1999 and completed his advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at The Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincents Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He commenced his PhD in 2007 at the University of Western Australia and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia. This body of work focuses on the bronchoscopic applications of anatomical optical coherence tomography (aOCT) and will assess validation of the technique in the human lower airway, the role of aOCT in managing tracheobronchial stenoses and investigation into the regional airway stiffness characteristics in asthma, emphysema and bronchiectasis.
