      Wavy and elevated retinal pigment epithelial line in optical coherence tomographic images of eyes with atypical Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease

      Purpose We report the changes of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) determined by optical coherence tomography in a patient with atypical Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada (VKH) disease during the recovery phase. Method Case presentation. Results A 74-year-old woman presented with a central scotoma associated with disc hyperemia, serous retinal detachment, and scleral thickening in her left eye, and was diagnosed with VKH. OCT showed a serous retinal detachment and a wavy RPE contour that corresponded to the choroidal folds.       Purpose: To examine the posterior anatomic structure of eyes with dome-shaped macula using enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT). Design: Retrospective observational case series. Methods: Patients with dome-shaped macula, a condition defined as convex elevation of the macula as compared with the surrounding staphylomatous region in a highly myopic eye, were identified through routine examinations using optical coherence tomography (OCT).       Purpose: To investigate the effects of the phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor, sildenafil citrate, on choroidal thickness using eye-tracked enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. Methods: In a prospective interventional study, 8 healthy subjects (4 men and 4 women) with no ocular history underwent enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain optical coherence tomography at baseline, 1 hour, and 3 hours after the ingestion of 100 mg of sildenafil citrate.       Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the fundus autofluorescence and optical coherence tomography findings in eyes with acute zonal occult outer retinopathy (AZOOR). Methods: A retrospective observational case series of the fundus autofluorescence and spectral domain optical coherence tomography in a series of patients with AZOOR. Results: There were 19 eyes of 11 patients (10 women), who had a mean age of 49.1 +/- 13.9 years.
