      Comparison of optical coherence tomography and high frequency ultrasound imaging in mice for the assessment of skin morphology and intradermal volumes

      Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS), two established imaging modalities in the field of dermatology, were evaluated and compared regarding their applicability for visualization of skin tissue morphology and quantification of murine intradermal structures. The accuracy and reproducibility of both methods were assessed ex vivo and in vivo using a standardized model for intradermal volumes based on injected soft tissue fillers.       Purpose: To visualize the pre-corneal tear film with high resolution spectral domain optical coherence tomography, enabling quantification of tear film thickness in healthy subjects. Methods: A custom built spectral domain optical coherence tomography system comprising a broad band Ti:Sapphire laser operating at 800 nm and a high speed CCD camera with a read out rate of 47 kHz was used for measurement of pre-corneal tear film thickness.       study the effect of intravitreal bevacizumab therapy on visual and anatomical outcomes in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) within a follow-up period of 6 and 12 months. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 102 eyes of 102 consecutive patients with neovascular AMD evaluated repeated intravitreal bevacizumab (1 or 2.5 mg) injections. Retreatment was performed following an optical coherence tomography (OCT)-based regimen.
