    Spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) image of the macula of an eye with RP. Both CME and epiretinal membrane are present. Intraretinal fluid is characteristically present in the inner nuclear layer. Note the absence of any outer segment signal outside of the area of the fovea, as well as the thicker-than-normal appearance of the retinal nerve fiber layer near the optic nerve head
