As you know, the International Congress on OCT Angiography, En Face OCT and Advances in OCT that Professor Bruno Lumbroso initiated few years ago will be in its 7th Year this December 2019 in Rome. Certainly, this global Congress has become one of the most successful, most-attended, and most educational meetings in the field of retinal imaging. Every December during the past six years, more than 1,000 of us have enjoyed spending few days in Rome learning the latest advances in retinal imaging, from OCT to OCTA to adaptive optics to microperimetry, among others, and meeting new colleagues while rekindling with old ones.
To honor the outstanding contributions that Professor Lumbroso has made to the field of ocular imaging, we have established the Bruno Lumbroso Lecture at each International Congress on OCT Angiography in Rome. The Inaugural Bruno Lumbroso Lecture was delivered during the December 2018 Congress by Dr. SriniVas Sadda (USA), a distinguished clinician scientist selected by the Lumbroso Lecture Selection Committee. We are now in the process of selecting the Second Annual Lombroso Lecturer for the 2019 Meeting (December 13 and 14). Thus, if you attend the 2019 Rome OCT Congress, please also join us at this very special Lecture. If you would like to nominate colleagues for this lectureship, please send nominations to Professor Quan Dong Nguyen (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) or to any member of the Selection Committee by October 31, 2019.
We look forward to welcoming many colleagues again to Rome this December and learning many advances that have been achieved during this past year.
With warmest regards,
Quan Dong Nguyen (Palo Alto, USA), Chair of the Bruno Lumbroso Lecture Selection Committee
