    Background The addition of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitor, evolocumab, to statin therapy produced incremental regression of atherosclerotic plaques and a collaborative prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary artery disease.
