    Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an intracoronary imaging technique providing detailed morphological information on coronary lesions, improving an accurate diagnosis and the selection of an appropriate treatment strategy. A 26-year-old smoking female with no previous medical history and no risk factors for coronary heart disease was admitted to a local non-university hospital with an anterior STsegment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
