    PhD Studentship in Biomedical Optics and Retinal Imaging at The University of Illinois at Chicago

    A PhD position is available in the Biomedical Optics and Functional Imaging group within the Department of Bioengineering, University of Illinois at Chicago. Our research lab is working on ultra-wide field fundus photography, functional optical coherence tomography (OCT), OCT angiography (OCTA), super-resolution ophthalmoscopy, retinal image analysis and classification ( https://yaolab.bioe.uic.edu/).

    The PhD student will be involved for imaging instrument development and/or experimental study of retinal morphology & physiology. The specific study plan of the student can be flexible based on his/her education background and interest. The successful candidate should have a BS/MS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline. The selected candidate will have excellent opportunities to interact with researchers in Engineering, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for a multidisciplinary training.

    This PhD Studentship is due to start in August 2019, January 2020, or August 2020.
