    Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is an infrequent and often missed diagnosis among patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), especially young healthy females. Unfortunately, SCAD can result in significant morbidity, such as ischemia and infarction. Currently, there has been a surge in the diagnosis of SCAD due to the widespread use of new intracoronary imaging modalities, especially optical coherence tomography (OCT).However, no specific guidelines exist concerning appropriate treatment for SCAD.
