    Hamamatsu develops bright supercontinuum source

    Hamamatsu Photonics has developed a supercontinuum light source, also known the SC light source, that produces higher brightness – approximately 1000 times higher than the company’s own range of xenon lamps. At the same time, the SC source maintains the high stability equivalent to that of xenon lamps by optimizing output conditions and also using a high nonlinear optical fiber as its nonlinear optical material.
