    ORGANIZATION OF THROMBUS CONTRIBUTES TO RAPID PROGRESSION OF CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE: A SERIAL CORONARY ANGIOGRAMS AND OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY STUDY

    Background The process of progression of coronary artery disease (CAD) is generally classified as either rapid progression or continuous slight progression in daily clinical practice. However, the precise mechanism of rapid progression in CAD is unknown. Methods This study consists of 62 lesions with clinically significant progression of CAD (>10%/year) in which serial coronary angiogram and optical coherence tomography (OCT) were performed at intervals of approximately 1 year.
