Post Doc Position for retinal imaging using adaptive optics technology at the Medical University Vienna
A PostDoc position will be available from April 1, 2018 at the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, Medical University of Vienna.
The candidate will work within the framework of a SFB (“Spezialforschungsbereich”) of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) in the field of adaptive optics for retinal imaging. The project duration will be four years with the option of an extension, in the case of a successful project, of additional four years. The annual income of the position for full time employment will be ~50kEuros.
The successful candidate has a PhD in, physics, engineering sciences, biomedical engineering or equivalent with an outstanding record in her/his field of research. She/He has strong communication skills, which are a pre-requisite for cooperating in a multi-disciplinary and multi-national environment. The candidate must have gained experience in AO for visual sciences. Programming skills in LabView or MatLab will be essential. Knowledge of optical design software such as Zemax, Code V or similar is an asset.
