    The BiOS Expo, part of SPIE's Photonics West event taking place this week in San Francisco, witnessed the unveiling of a new low-cost optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanner that developer Lumedica believes could dramatically extend the impact of the imaging technology for eye health.
