    Imaging using optical coherence tomography plays a crucial role in diagnostic and therapeutic management of ocular diseases, such as in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, uveitis and ocular tumors. The recent development of swept source technology in optical coherence tomography allows better sensitivity with imaging depth, higher detection efficiencies and longer imaging range. This allows not only a faster detection, but also provides the possibilities of imaging the choroid or the whole anterior part of the eye. This SIG will discuss the physical concepts of swept source technologies and its use in imaging the retina, optic nerve head and anterior chamber in various ocular diseases, i.e. glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.
