    Bioptigen now shipping Envisu XHR Extreme Resolution OCT Imaging systems

    Breakthrough optical resolution enables pre-clinical researchers to see more, discover more

    Bioptigen (www.bioptigen.com) announces today it has begun shipping the Envisu TM S4100 XHR spectral domain optical coherence tomography research system capable of producing volumetric images with unmatched 1 um axial resolution. The system is the only OCT system in the world capable of acquiring images with 1.5 um x 1.5 um x 1 um voxel size. Additionally, this resolution is delivered in full volumes up to 1000 x 1000 x 1000 pixels, designed so that researchers do not miss the earliest signatures of pathology. Bioptigen achieves this capability with a focus on precision optical design, proprietary signal processing and, its patented spectrometer technology. Combined with an NKT SuperK white light source, the S4100 XHR captures and processes 300 nm of spectrum in real-time, without the need for averaging. “The improved volume resolution enables single-pixel resolution of the fine structure in retina and anterior layers of the eye”, explained Joe Vance, Vice President, Sales at Bioptigen. “The importance of this innovation is that it offers researchers true cellular-level in vivo optical histology of mouse models of human disease.” Our S4100 XHR customers will detect disease earlier, follow it more frequently, and attain statistical significance sooner.
