    Morphological assessments of the photoreceptors can be useful in estimating the disease progression in retinitis pigmentosa (RP).1–3 Using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography, the external limiting membrane (ELM) and cone outer segment tips (COST) can be clearly detected in addition to photoreceptor inner/outer segment junction (IS/OS).
