    Exalos Names New Director Applications Engineering Advanced Products

    EXALOS AG (“EXALOS”), a privately held, technology driven Swiss company focusing on the design, development and sales of advanced light sources based on Superluminescent Light Emitting Diodes (“SLEDs”) and Swept Laser Sources (“Swept Sources”), today announced that Dr. Kevin Hsu has joined the Company as Director of Applications Engineering. In the newly created role Dr. Hsu will have overall responsibility for the worldwide daily technical and application support in order to maintain existing business, develop, grow and expand new business opportunities for the Company’s advanced product portfolio.

     

    Kevin brings profound application, sales and marketing experience in optical communications, optical sensing, and bio-medical imaging. During his 24 year career in fiber-optics and photonics, Kevin has been instrumental in conceiving, directing, and advancing the technology growth at Micron Optics, Inc. His input was essential in forging strategic business alliances and exploiting new market opportunities.

     

    Prior to joining EXALOS, Kevin enjoyed a career at the Eastman Kodak Research Laboratories as a Development Engineer in the areas of visible and infrared laser printer systems and as Vice President of Research and Technologies for Micron Optics, Inc.
