    Reversible retinal changes in the acute stage of sympathetic ophthalmia seen on spectral domain optical coherence tomography
    Abstract  To report the changes seen in the photoreceptor layer during the acute phase of sympathetic ophthalmia. Six consecutive patients diagnosed with sympathetic ophthalmia were enrolled in the study. All 6 patients had a fundus fluorescein angiogram and spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan carried out at presentation. The outer retinal segment was demarcated on the raster line scan between the external limiting membrane (ELM) and the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)–choriocapillaris complex.
