Optical Coherence Tomography in Canada One-Day Symposium September 28, 2010
The Industrial Materials Institute (IMI) organizes a one-day symposium on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) on Tuesday September 28, 2010, at Université Laval (Quebec City). The goals of the symposium are to increase networking between research groups and to provide interested parties an overview of the current status of OCT research in Canada. This symposium is organised in collaboration with the Quebec Materials Network (QMN), the Canadian Institute for Photonic Innovations (CIPI), the Quebec Photonic Network (QPN), and the Institut national d’optique (INO).
The symposium is a satellite event to the Biophotonics Week (http://biophotonicsweek.biophotonicsworld.org) that is held from September 22 to September 30, 2010, in Quebec City. The morning session will be devoted to presentations by research teams developing OCT technology and OCT applications. The goal is to present recent achievements to stimulate discussions and collaborations. The afternoon will feature a joint session with 11th Optics Within Life Sciences (OWLS) conference (http://biophotonicsweek.biophotonicsworld.org/optics-within-life-sciences). The day will end with a visit to the Institut National d’Optique, another joint event with OWLS.
This symposium is the fourth of the series. The symposium usually offers a tutorial part. For this edition, the tutorial part is integrated into the Biophotonics School (http://biophotonicsweek.biophotonicsworld.org/biophotonics-school) that is part of the Biophotonics Week. Attendees interested in this tutorial part will need to register for the full Biophotonics School separately.
