    Hydration and Demineralization Effects on Reflectivity of Enamel Using SS-OCT

    Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of hydration in assessment of reflectivity and depth measurements of demineralised enamel lesion using Swept-source Optical Coherence Tomography (SS-OCT). Methods: Bovine enamel blocks were used. B-scans of all specimens were obtained and recorded as reference using SS-OCT (OCT2000, Santec, Japan). The specimens were kept in a demineralizing solution adjusted at pH 4.8 at 37degrees-C. After 3, 9 and 15 days the demineralized surfaces were scanned again.
