    Orpington, UK, June 23rd, 2009: Michelson Diagnostics Limited (MDL) announced today that it has opened a sales and support office in the USA. The office is located in Fuquay-Varina, (in the Research Triangle vicinity of Raleigh-Durham), North Carolina, and is headed by Kevin C. Oakley, Business Development Manager (US) for Michelson Diagnostics.

    The new office will act as a hub for growth of MDL’s business in the field of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging, which has great applications potential in fields such as skin cancer diagnosis, genetics research and tissue engineering development. The company has no FDA-approved clinical products yet, but is selling an OCT microscope for the scientific research market and recently announced the ‘VivoSight’ in-vivo OCT probe, for which it expects clinical approvals to be granted in Europe imminently.
