    Recent reports pointed out that the urothelium was a permeable membrane and had some sensory and signaling functions. The aquaporins expression has been found in the urothelium, implicit water transport through the urothelium. However, this process has never been observed directly. This study aims to better understand water transport through urothelium and how sodium chloride affects urothelial integrity during the water transport process.
