    Background: Skin cancer continues to be the most common cancer in the Caucasian population. Over the past two decades, researchers around the world started assessing the possibility of diagnosing tissue pathologies by using optical systems. In this study, we aimed to use in vivo optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology to describe the morphologic features of normal and pathologic skin conditions.
