    Drs. Sebastian Schäfer and Dierck Hillman from Thorlabs OCT team will detail the system characterizations and variations attributed to both swept-source (SS-OCT) and Spectral-Domain (SD-OCT) technologies.

    In all optical assemblies, including OCT systems, interrelationships exist among optical parameters. Significant performance parameters for OCT systems include: axial resolution & imaging depth, lateral resolution & field of view, and A-Scan rate & sensitivity. These parameters coupled with the different imaging approaches can make choosing the ideal system challenging. Thorlabs OCT team leverages their years of experience with both SS-OCT and SD-OCT imaging approaches to help you make an informed decision that aligns with your application's needs. They leverage Thorlabs' vertically integrated manufacturing structure to meet the unique and complex requirement of every application using both modular OCT components as well as fully customized OCT systems
